Native & Pollinator Plants

California natives and nectar plants that bring in bees, birds and monarchs.

California natives are adapted to our rainfall pattern, which means a bed that looks after itself once established. We pair them with nectar and host plants that bring pollinators into the garden.

Monarchs are a particular interest of ours — we hosted a Pollinator Month seminar on monarchs and milkweed at the nursery. Ask which milkweed is appropriate before you plant; the wrong species can do more harm than good.
